Our Mission Statement:
To assist indigent and physically, mentally, and socially handicapped veterans through the following programs: 

• transportation (SJRTD bus passes)
• food grants
• emergency rent/utility payment assistance
• counseling and claims services
• scholarships and financial support for two San Joaquin County DAV Chapters 

Other miscellaneous needs are supported as determined by one-on-one meetings with the Veteran. 

Disabled American Veteran Charities of San Joaquin County is a 501(c)3 organization and our FEIN is 94-2163383. All of the donations made to the D. A. V. Charities of San Joaquin County are tax-deductible. 

Our organization was started in 1972 by a group of veterans who wanted to assist other veterans.  Over the past decades, we have assisted over 5,500 veterans.  Our current Board consists of both

veterans and non-veterans, but all have the heart to help the veteran community.
